The housing market is a socialised business model. If there is optimism in the market the prices rise. Having an outside influence investing in our market also creates rise, mostly through fear and FOMO. The purchase of land by a foreign state is a continuation of modern colonisation.
I’ve always been shocked by the openness and racism people express toward the Chinese market and people (while not considering the word Asian covers a good part of the globe and a vast number of cultures).
It has been forgotten that the Chinese helped build our country suffering poor conditions and mistreatment. Many of us descend from this heritage today.
The stigma of being Chinese is something that carried embarrassment for many generations. The Chinese were considered progressive or perhaps aggressive for their hard work ethics but they more than paid their way for our benefit today.
