A Little Solitude reflects the quiet presence of the lighthouse as it stands apart from movement and noise, holding its position at the edge of land and sea. In its stillness, solitude becomes something steady rather than separate — a place of orientation rather than isolation.

The work draws on the idea that solitude is not only something we seek, but something we recognise in the structures that guide us. Like the lighthouse itself, there are moments when standing quietly on our own becomes a way of returning to clarity. Here, solitude is held as a gentle and necessary space — one that allows reflection, presence, and a renewed sense of direction.
