Portrait of Nature
Matthieu Cotteret’s approach to large format photography and traditional darkroom printing is deeply meditative, with the slow, deliberate process offering ample time for contemplation. These moments of waiting, whether for light to shift or for anemulsion to dry, became integral to the creation of Portrait of Nature.

Canvas is Paul Maseyk’s new collection of abstract acrylic and ink paintings, offering a fresh and unexpected departure from his previous works. This exhibition showcases a vibrant array of colours, patterns, and shapes that blend the familiar with the fantastical.
Tales from the Māoriland: The Scouting Party
The Tales from the Māoriland collection began in 2007 when Bruce returned to Taranaki and began to paint. Content up until now to paint for himself and his family, Bruce has now decided to share his work to a wider audience. This will be the first time any of his work has left his private studio and I am honoured to dedicate the closing months of this year to an extended showing of the collection.

Outside In invites viewers to consider the intersection of place, memory, and communication— the rural and the digital, the tangible and the ephemeral — through two distinct yet complementary artistic visions.

Set within the context of a functioning foundry and pottery workshop, the exhibition explores the incidental compositions that form in working spaces; shelves are cluttered with tools, offcuts, vessels, and materials that gather not by design but by use.

With Tyler’s light works, he is interested in making machines that operate autonomously and for these machines to be influenced by their surroundings - usually the environment and its weather systems, as well as human interactions through a motion sensor.

In The Long Horizon, conceptual artist John Shewry presents a collection of works that reflect on the complex legacies of colonisation and the material waste of modern life. Created in what Shewry calls “the most luxurious time in history,” this body of work questions how we use our time and resources today, contrasting our era of abundance with histories marked by struggle, displacement, and survival.
Thrust
Young’s furniture pieces are constructed from contrasting native timbers such asmiro, puriri, and tawa. They feature complex joints and bold angles that reveal atension between sharp, dynamic lines and fluid, organic silhouettes.

In the spirit of the whakatauki whiria te tangata - weaving or binding the people together - TheSeeHere* presents a multi-artist show with work by Vivien Atkinson, Becky Bliss, Pam Brabants, Sandy Connon, Mel Ford, Marilyn Jones, GretaMenzies, Sarah Read, Caroline Thomas, Nina van Duijnhoven and Tia Venning.
Physical Graffiti
Timeworn and hidden away in his mother’s attic, his grandmother's chopping board bore a crude inscription reading Jonathan is a Dick, a relic of sibling mischief from the late 1970s or early 1980s.
Outside Inside
This exhibition sees Marilyn Jones continuing her practice of creating abstract compositions based on observations of the world around her. We are treated to a riotous collection of colourful fabrics - from her mother’s ruby red cotton velveteen used in Kirkcaldies sock model to a friend’s delicate hand-dyed 1950s petticoat nylon in Octopus.
The Bush Points Back
Fluorescent tones of orange, green and yellow propel themselves from the painted surface of artist Will Bennett’s (Pākehā) otherworldly paintings that make up The Bush Points Back. Oil stick merges with deeply layered oil paint, creating a vehicle, or portal, from our world into theirs, and from their origin to the almost-apocalyptic world they temporarily inhabit.
